A calendar system so you never miss a due date

Missing a payment is usually caused not by a lack of money but by forgetting. When bills, rent, loan instalments, subscriptions and promises live in different places, one of them slipping through is only a matter of time. A well-built calendar system removes that risk.

💡 With BudPlan you bring every due date into one calendar and get a reminder before each payment. Explore BudPlan

Gather every regular payment in one list

Rent or mortgage, utilities, subscriptions, credit cards, insurance and personal debts… List everything you pay. Add the payment method (auto-pay, manual, app) and a note if the amount varies.

Sort payments by date

Sorting payments by due date shows you clearly what is coming and when during the month. This view helps you plan payments around your income date.

Use a single calendar

Spreading payments across different apps, papers and phone notes makes tracking harder. Bringing them all into one calendar is the most important part of the system. That way you see the whole month at a glance.

Leave a buffer in your reminders

Set the reminder a few days before the due date rather than on the day itself. That buffer gives you time to prepare the money or complete the necessary steps.

Tip: For critical payments, setting two reminders — a few days before and on the day — is a safe approach.

Set recurring payments to repeat

Instead of re-entering payments that fall on the same day each month, define them as recurring. The system then sustains itself and you don't have to reset reminders every month.

Review the system regularly

Due dates change; new subscriptions appear and others are cancelled. A short weekly check and a more thorough monthly review keep the system current.

A payment calendar with BudPlan

In BudPlan you bring debts, receivables and subscriptions into one calendar with their due dates. Each record appears in its own colour and you get a reminder as the date approaches. The Budget screen shows your total load for the month, so you never miss a payment and always know how much to set aside.
